Jaboticaba Escarlate is a hybrid variety developed through cross pollination. It’s one of the best jaboticaba variety to grow in a pot. In Kerala it has shown best yielding result by producing fruits for more than 6 times a year. In our Kerala’s climate we have observed that it has started fruits from the age of 2.5 years. The fruits are sweet and has 1-2 seeds. Skin is thin compared to the red hybrid. Escarlate is very much container friendly. 14-18 inch pot will be sufficient.
