Native mainly to the Brazilian Cerrado, it can present variations in the shapes of the leaves and in the color of the fruits. Species found native with certain rarity in nature.

It produces a large amount of small brown or black fruits, with an elongated shape. These are neutral in taste for in-natura consumption, but are great for containing diarrhea or disinfection.

Very ornamental plant, it produces beautiful reddish-brown shoots and beautiful white-pink flowers at the end of winter, attracting honey bees. Its fruits serve as food for birds, being very appreciated by them.

Rustic species of easy cultivation, should be planted in full sun. Accepts most soils, except soggy ones.
