Very rare fruit native to the restingas of the state of Rio de Janeiro. It produces small shiny black fruits with a great taste, which can be consumed fresh, juices, jellies, compotes and sweets. Plant different from the common grumixama, it grows in a bushy way, not reaching more than 4 meters in height after a long time. Ideal to be grown in pots or in small spaces, it begins to bear fruit from 30 centimeters in height. Species with very ornamental flowering, fruiting from September to November. Low care plant, should be planted in full sun for greater fruiting. Great for bonsai.
